Ultrasonic Welding is the fastest and most versatile of all welding processes.

The Ultrasonic Welding, be it with rivets or direct welding, is the joint of components via heating generated by a high-frequency mechanical motion. In case of riveting, only one component melts thus it is not necessary for the other component to be thermoplastic. In case of direct welding, the friction energy of the sonotrode transmits to both parts with pre-set values of pressure, time, and speed. The generated heat melts the thermoplastic components where they touch. The result is a cohesive welding between compatible materials. In both scenarios, the process is accomplished under a strict and meticulous control on the transmitted energy.

Ultrasonic Welding Machines

  • Special Machine with Fixed Welding Heads: these machines are designed to carry out welding with multiple heads and various welding stations to adapt to customer needs, specifications and optimize cycle time. Loading or unloading dimensions or methods are flexible allowing particular attention to ergonomics and operator safety.
  • Automized Solutions with Replaceable Welding Tool: the most flexible and reusable over time. Due to the use of anthropomorphic robots we are able to develop single machines that can be used for multiple products simultaneously or customized welding / assembly lines based on customer needs.Thanks to the double-headed electric welding heads, we can weld two points simultaneously regardless of the position, thus optimizing the number of robots needed for high production rate applications.
  • 20KHz Soundproof Booths: the new standard booth with an operator panel integrated in the upper part combines design with functionality. Soundproofed to be compliant, the booth allows to see the welding cycle through the transparent door with automatic safety closures.
  • All welding data (times, temperatures, pressure, and penetration) can be stored and associated with the QR / bar code and interfaced with the factory traceability system.

Tools/equipment

The Ultrasonic Equipment in our machines, is designed and manufactured by SONIC. Depending on the application, the best ultrasound solution in terms of result quality and versatility is developed in co-design with EUROMODEL, using standard components or creating new fully customized components. Thanks to the collaboration with SONIC, we combine technology with innovation.

Our machines can be equipped with interchangeable equipment with coding for automatic equipment recognition and automatic recall of parameter set-ups. All traceability systems with barcode / QR code can be managed and interfaced with the customers’ facilities. Integrated recognition and vision systems can be installed in the machine to perform various process controls.

Each welding head can be equipped with cooling systems and welding depth control.

Tools can be polished and / or coated with special materials to avoid any aesthetic damage.

Thanks to the use of the ultrasonic generators of the NEXT series, we equip all the machines with the most versatile, intuitive, and easy-to-use technology to customize their welds, from the simplest to the most complex.
